PURPOSE OF SERVICE

Preliminary plant design as part of the complete redevelopment of the air conditioning unit serving the Hoepli building in Milan, for tertiary and residential use.

HIGHLIGHTS

The building houses offices, mainly banking ones. The scope of the work concerned the project for the renewal of the air conditioning unit, still equipped with a diesel boiler and refrigeration units with cooling tower, which have long been obsolete and no longer up to standard, in order to increase energy efficiency, reducing the environmental impact and consumption.
Studying different solutions, NCA opted for an innovative heat pump system, which produces hot and chilled water all year round, replacing diesel with renewable energy.  

All the works were carried out without interrupting the operation of the building, whose average occupancy is around 500 people, who continued to work throughout the entire redevelopment period.
